I now changed my mind, this phone is crap I hate it i made this first impression video but I regret to say it is annoying I miss 40% of my calls just because of the stupid way of how to answer, it locks itself and you need to swipe but befre u swipe u need to unlock then u swipe the wrong line..its just the worst phone ever, i never put any music on it or videos but its so slow…I now have a samsung tocco and its just millions of miles better..dont buy this crap unless u want it only as an mp3 player and wifi ..

@XxCaRvAlHoOxX i owned the first touch screen smart phone in 2002 when they costed a furtune made by sony ericsson so I am not newbie and since then all my phones were touch I owned a dozen of them this one is the worst, only thing i like is its camera is good quality & use it as mp3 player i dont use it as phone anymore

@XxCaRvAlHoOxX well in a way you’re right we usually end up buying expesnvie phones but dont use any of its features apart from what its made for “call, talk, txt”
this isnt expensive its like £99 new and nowadays its peanuts money and there r better phones like samsung tocco half price better

@TheMaron18 uhm i have it too not the same problem as him but crashes about 3times a day but u don’t see it… it freeses and the screen get weird colors and stripes, after that it starts up again without asking pin… and slooow menus, i’ve hacked it and did some mods , now it’s a lil bit faster… but still sucks. Im a little dissapointed in Nokia for now, cause i was very happy when i bought it and unboxed it, after i put many songs, videos etc. on it and start messaging it was getting slow.

@DieterCorporation i’m really disappointed now coz i really have decided to buy this fone, i wanted to swap my SAMSUNG STAR-WIFI with it. My samsung’s camera doesn’t have LED flash and there’s only two themes and very limited way of customizing the display, but none the less i’ve been using it for a little browsing and some other stuffs,it’s quite responsive, i’ve had it 3 months now and didn’t have any major problems with it. how about Nokia 5800?

@TheMaron18 i don’t own a nokia 5800 but they have the same symbian OS sow… it’s pritty much the same i think only have faster processor and some other features but… IT is also a Nokia … =(

@TheMaron18 hi this page is misleading. pl dont compare 5530 with other brands like samsung or lg. “miss 40% call” is just as vague as “samsung tocco is just millions of miles better”. consider battery life, build, u can always do away with minor irritants using symbian apps, crashing can be due to virus n incompatible apps not due to incapability of os. go for it. it is worthy.

i ve just 9mb phone,190mb card memory it is still faster. the AV quality is fine.photo quality is poor as it forms a round shadow around the picture.i ve hacked it, i use spb shell,2 dictionaries always run n min 3 heavy apps simultaneously run but it never crashed.as this page suggests attending call is irritating but there is no need to unlock to swipe as he says because u swipe to unlock. 5530 is NOT a crap or worst phone b4 any brand that doesnt support symbian or that has poor battery.

omg u guys talk this phone is crap ? omg! dont complain about how slow it is if your not happy with the speed just hack it!! and of course if you put too many song and/or videos it will lag what a suprise…

Good review but i don`t care i will buy this phone anyway ,maybe its fabric problem cos ur mobile phone is slow then u must contact the service where u buyed phone.

just slide your finger from left to right above the green line and its both unlocked and answered . is this so difficult ??

this phone is great and its NOT slow i have it and it works very fast with 4gb memory stick something is wrong with yours
